The Goulburn Valley will now have better access to support for heart health, with the official opening of Connected Cardiology in Shepparton.

Dr Jennifer Coller leads the clinic and brings broad experience in cardiology, having trained in Melbourne and gained further experience overseas before settling in Shepparton.

“Finding better ways to care for rural patients is a real passion of mine,” Dr Coller said.

“We will be able to offer reviews and tests for our patients, and also provide coaching so they feel more in control — both understanding their heart condition and walking out with a plan that can support and, where possible, improve their heart health.

“We have a strong commitment to playing our role in closing the gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parents, supporting refugee and migrant health, and creating a place where LGBTQI+ patients can know they are welcome.

“We want to remove barriers that many people still unfortunately experience in accessing specialist cardiac care, by bringing services to regional Victoria.”

The clinic will provide cardiology consultations both in-person and via telehealth, and a range of cardiac tests, including echocardiograms and stress testing.

Connected Cardiology is on Wyndham St and is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm.
