After two years as vice president, Pamela Rudd steps up as president of the YMCLC board.

A new chapter begins at Yarrawonga Mulwala Community & Learning Centre’s (YMCLC) as Pamela Rudd steps up as president.

Ms Rudd was elected as president of the board at YMCLC’s annual general meeting in October.

Ms Rudd served as vice president for the past two years and has demonstrated her dedication, innovative ideas and strong leadership.

She joined the board on June 17, 2021, and her vibrant energy and refreshing spirit have made a significant positive impact since then.

She has been instrumental in shaping YMCLC’s strategic direction and fostering growth within the organisation.

One of her key contributions includes leading the refurbishment of the Community Centre’s outdoor area, transforming it into a welcoming space for our community members to utilise.

YMCLC Executive Officer Juile-Anne Clarke said that Ms Rudd brings creative ideas to YMCLC, ensuring the centre remains connected to the needs of the community.

“Her passion, commitment, and leadership align perfectly with YMCLC’s mission to provide a whole range of community services that increase life opportunities, choices and skills,” Ms Clarke said.

“We would also like to thank our outgoing president, Jackie Smith.

“YMCLC extends heartfelt gratitude to Jackie for her incredible dedication and hard work during her four years in the role.

“Jackie’s leadership has been instrumental in driving YMCLC’s growth and expanding its reach within the community.”

Ms Clarke said that under Jackie’s guidance, YMCLC achieved key milestones, including program expansion, stronger partnerships, and reinforcing the centre’s role as a vital community hub.

Ms Smith reflected positively on her time at the helm.

"It has been a pleasure and a privilege to serve as president of Yarrawonga Mulwala Community & Learning Centre for the past four years,” Ms Smith said.

“As my term expires this year, I will step down to make way for Pam Rudd to take on the role.

“Pam’s passion and dedication will be a wonderful asset to Yarrawonga Mulwala Community & Learning Centre."

“Jackie’s unwavering commitment and ability to inspire those around will leave a permanent mark on the organisation,” Ms Clarke added.

“YMCLC wishes Jackie all the best in her future endeavours and thanks her for her remarkable service.”
