UPDATE, 3.45pm Monday:
Two Shepparton men who were taken to hospital after a fatal crash that killed another man at Gooram on Sunday, July 9, remain in hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the vehicle, a 50-year-old man, was taken to Goulburn Valley Health in a serious condition with upper and lower body injuries.
Another passenger in the ute, a 47-year-old Shepparton man was taken to Goulburn Valley Health in a stable condition with minor injuries.
On Monday afternoon, a hospital spokesperson confirmed both men remained in hospital, but both were now in a stable condition.
A third man, aged in his 60s was airlifted to hospital in Melbourne but was later pronounced dead.
Seymour Highway Patrol Acting Sergeant Andrew Wright said the ute had been travelling west on the Euroa-Mansfield Rd when the crash occurred at 10.15pm.
He said the driver failed to negotiate a bend and drove across the road, hit a tree and continued down a 10m embankment before coming to a stop.
EARLIER: A person has died after the ute he was a passenger in drove off a cliff at Gooram on Sunday, July 10.
Emergency services were called to reports a car had driven down a cliff on Euroa-Mansfield Rd, near Ridge Rd, about 11pm.
Three male occupants were rescued from the vehicle.
One male, who is yet to be formally identified, was airlifted to hospital in a critical condition where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver and another passenger were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The passenger’s death was the 162nd death on Victorian roads this year.
He is also the 27th person to die on the region’s roads since new year’s eve.
The Euroa-Mansfield Rd is currently closed to traffic between Galls Gap Rd and Ridge Rd.
