Greater Shepparton City Council has started to sprinkle the magic of Christmas across the Maude St precinct in Shepparton with the grand opening of the Christmas Wonderland Hub last Friday.

Located at 235 Maude St, the festive hub will welcome you from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, until Saturday, December 23.

The Christmas Wonderland is your one-stop destination for all things festive, where you can discover unique Christmas shopping ideas, get your gifts beautifully wrapped for a gold coin donation and delight in free children’s activities.

Don’t miss the mischievous elves, who will also be spreading oodles of festive joy.

Hold on to your hats because guess who’s also making a grand entrance this year? Santa himself.

You can bring the kids in, strike a pose and snap a photo with Santa between 11am and 1pm, Tuesday to Saturday, for a $5 donation.

The launch of the Christmas Wonderland coincides with the unveiling of the 2023 Greater Shepparton Great Christmas Gift Guide.

The guide is a treasure trove of festive goodness that includes incredible recipes for Christmas crafts, traditional ideas, tips to make your home sparkle and even a letter template for the little ones to send to Santa.

Swing by the Christmas Wonderland to grab your copy of this merry guide. And that’s not all; if you spend $50 or more at any of the featured stores in the Gift Guide, you could win big.

Mayor Shane Sali said council was pleased to launch the Christmas Wonderland in the heart of Shepparton for a second year, to help spread festive cheer in the region.

“If you are in Shepparton or travelling here to do some Christmas shopping, be sure to pop in to the Christmas Wonderland. There are activities for kids, a place to rest in between shops and the opportunity to snap a photo with Santa,” he said.
