Shepparton’s Pinot & Picasso has been welcoming guests for a year, painting, learning and raising a glass with the local community.
The company opened its Shepparton branch in June last year with an inaugural guided painting.
Since then, it has seen growth within the company but also with community engagement.
“When we started up, in the first few months, it was really, really busy,” Pinot & Picasso artist and host Caitlin Colliver said.
“It was really packed because it was a fun, new and exciting thing to do in Shepparton, we had lots of people flooding in those first few months and at Christmas time.
“Then we had a lot of businesses and groups such as hen nights; but overall, I think it’s been pretty consistent.”
Miss Colliver finds her time with Pinot & Picasso most enjoyable when she is able to use her creativity.
“My favorite thing is definitely painting, but I also love socialising with everyone, hearing their stories,” she said.
“Some people don’t have much experience, some have a lot, and I get to talk to them about how they’re feeling, and I can get their confidence up.
“I just love seeing the creativity and different ideas in the room.”
The company prides itself on being an inclusive experience, allowing the entire community to enjoy its service.
“You don’t have to be a professional artist, because they [staff] can teach you how to create something that you’re really proud of,” Pinot & Picasso Shepparton manager Nicole Dixon said.
“This experience is available for kids to adults to elderly, with anyone you want — bring your whole family as well.
“We actually go out too, we’re trying to help more of the elderly by going into our aged care facilities and allowing residents to enjoy it.”
On Sunday, June 25, Pinot & Picasso will be hosting its one-year-anniversary guided painting. For more information or to book, head to pinotandpicasso.com.au
