PRIDE OF THE MURRAY SINKS IN LONGREACH

Joan Sammartino: Surely not after that huge effort of moving it.

ECHUCA-MOAMA BRIDGE PROJECT IN HUNT FOR COVETED PRIZE

Geoff Oggy Ogden: Is this the new bridge that floods on Vic side and enters Moama on the other side in the most ridiculous intersection?

Chris Rourke: Watched a similar project 15 years ago while working in Robinvale. Bridge over the Murray. Absolutely amazing how they push tonnes of concrete and reo out and meet in the middle.

Simon McBremner: It is magnificent, but the fact the road leading up to it floods takes the shine away somewhat.

Stephen Hussey: Goes to show no matter what’s achieved it will never suit a lot of people.

Kane Chapman: Achievement for the longest time ever taken to construct much needed infrastructure. Award will ironically be handed out in another 60 years’ time.

Shane Fisher: Well how about they finish the job by landscaping the intersection in Moama. Just wondering how it was signed off when there is a 50cm drop on either side of the footpath. Half a job done as per usual. Great entry into the town.
