Need tips on social media marketing?
Small business owners can get the digital answers they need without leaving their business thanks to a simple online learning site developed here in north-east Victoria, called Click Region.
Clickregion.org.au is an easy-to-navigate education platform that helps small businesses learn and use online tools and programs so they can feel confident in the digital space.
Click Region’s lead digital coaching facilitator Bree Nightingale said the information was available on-demand in short, sharp bursts so business owners could level-up their digital skills without leaving their business.
“Click Region brings the knowledge to you. It’s a safe space where you can navigate what you need to know, when it suits you, from right where you are. All you need to do is log on and learn,” Ms Nightingale said.
“Content is grouped into categories including marketing, operations, admin and human resources, and financial management and covers everything from QR codes to cyber security, Facebook advertising to finance software.
“It can feel overwhelming if you don’t know where to start. That’s the beauty of Click Region.
“We’ve only included easy-to-understand, accurate information from reputable sources that’s relevant to our region, so you know you can trust it.”
“Plus it’s a great time-saving tool because you don’t have to search and scroll through a whole lot of irrelevant information. It frees up time for more important things in your business.”
Click Region offers both free and subscriber-only content from an ever-growing library of information, with new resources added monthly. There’s also an event listing and business directory.
“It’s great value — an annual subscription costs the same as a cup of coffee per week,” Ms Nightingale said.
Click Region was developed in response to a 2022 survey of north-east small business owners which found many in the region had low levels of digital literacy.
It has been developed and rolled out by Startup Shakeup thanks to funding through the Regional Digital Fund as part of a state government grant for Buy from North East auspiced by Benalla Rural City Council.
