Two men were rescued from floodwaters in Miepoll last night after becoming trapped at around 10.20pm.

The pair were travelling along O’Farrell Rd when they drove into what they thought was a large puddle along the Seven Creeks, between Euroa and Shepparton.

Their car quickly became bogged, according to police, and the water level began rapidly rising as they called emergency services for assistance.

Police found the men clinging to the back of their vehicle in the fast-moving water.

Shepparton Search and Rescue volunteers arrived at the scene with their rescue boat and pulled both men to safety.

The NSW men, aged 73 and 46, were both taken to hospital for observation.
