Parkrun, or walk, into spring

About 60 people turned up for the milestone parkrun event earlier in the year.

Despite cool conditions there was good numbers once again at Deniliquin Parkrun on Saturday morning at 8am.

The weekly event starts at the start of the McLean Beach trail before the turnaround halfway point just past the water tower at Memorial Park for 2.5km with the total distance of 5km.

At the free event, people are welcome to run or walk along the beautiful Edward River with times able to be recorded as well if you bring a scannable barcode.

It’s a way to get your weekend started especially as the weather warms up and spring here.

If you don’t wish to run or walk but are happy to help, Parkrun is entirely organised by volunteers - email mcleanbeach@parkrun.com to help volunteer.

It’s also your first chance to look through the soon to be finished clubrooms.

The club welcomes players of all skill levels to participate in the local and MVCA cricket competitions.

Players must be aged eight to 17, as of August 31, 2024.

The registration day is a chance to speak with the club about the programs, and to order uniforms for the season.
