Owner and creative director Ros Vodusek is excited about the opening of Rich Glen Olive Oil’s new permanent store in Echuca on Friday, November 24.

“Echuca has always been a town that we have really loved,” Ros said.

“It is a similar, lovely tourist country town like Yarrawonga, and we have always loved to visit.

“We saw an opportunity to start the business over here and we believe that there is probably nothing else like it.”

The expansion to Echuca is due to the overwhelming support Rich Glen Olive Oil already receives from the people of Echuca Moama, both online and visiting the Yarrawonga Provedore and Orangerie.

The move to Echuca was slightly behind their anticipated launch date due to the delay of fit-out materials, but this did not deter Ros and her team.

The delay enabled them to think outside the box, arriving in Echuca with a Rich Glen Pop-Up Store, giving the new staff the opportunity to learn about the vast array of Rich Glen Olive Oil products.

“It is probably a different feel to our Yarrawonga store, because it is a modern shop,” Ros said.

“We are still trying to create a beautiful food experience along with all of our natural skincare that we make on the farm.”

The Echuca store will stock artisan food products and their natural skin care range, including the 80 products produced by Rich Glen Olive Oil and another 200 that it sources, mainly from Victoria.

“If you are a foodie, there are amazing products like beautiful salad dressing, garlic paste, pasta from the Mornington Peninsula, and a beautiful range of condiments.

“Then we have things like beautiful body oils, hand creams and bath bombs.

“We have got beautiful little gift packs that are like a thank you to the host. It has a range of little condiments that go on the Christmas table.

“Coming into Christmas we have got a huge range of Christmas puddings, gingerbread, shortbread, that sort of thing as well.”

Ros has been overwhelmed by the support shown to the new store and pop-up by the Echuca community.

“We’ve had those new to the Rich Glen brand pop in for a quick look, and stay for ages, learning about our extensive range.

“But many have been dedicated Rich Glen supporters, telling us how excited they are to have Rich Glen on their doorstep.

“It’s worked out so well for our gorgeous new staff, building connections and developing relationships which has all helped to soften our arrival into Echuca.”

For Friday’s opening the new store will have huge opening specials, and be offering customers sparkling wine and cheese, along with plenty of provedore produce to sample.

Rich Glen Olive Oil Echuca store is located at 519 High St on the corner of Radcliffe St, across from the Beechworth Bakery.
