This week’s candidate for pet of the week is one of Echuca Animal Shelter’s longer-term residents — Brogan.

Brogan is a Staghound x Kelpie, one year and nine months old, and male desexed.

He is a charismatic boy whose affectionate and energetic personality quickly makes you fall in love.

This vibrant fellow is overflowing with energy, ready to accompany you on all of life’s adventures.

Brogan thrives on affection, gleefully wagging his tail whenever you offer ear scratches.

His affection isn’t one-sided, though, expecting lots of cuddles and happy playtime hours in return.

Energetic walks or runs in the park, play dates with other dogs, and a good game of fetch are some things you can look forward to with Brogan.

This clever canine understands commands like ‘sit’ and ‘drop’ and is currently learning to wait for food and to shake.

Patience will be key as Brogan picks up these new skills, and they are bound to provide plenty of entertaining and heart-warming moments along the way.

That said, every dog has its days, and Brogan can sometimes be a little stubborn.

It is important to note that he prefers to be the only pet in the household, specifically in a home without cats.

But with a steady routine and a consistent approach, he’ll be on the way to being the best-behaved dog in town.

You can adopt Brogan and give him a forever home.

His animal ID is 12404, Microchip 956000011295079, PER BR101840.
