All dressing up in pink, lots of lovely girls rode their bikes from Rutherglen to Wahgunyah on Friday, November 22 – for the tenth consecutive year.

The approximate 50 riders were raising money for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre.

Initially the group, known as ‘Pink Pedal Party’, raised money for the McGrath Foundation.

“Then we decided we wanted to keep it local,” organiser Melanie Cofield explained.

“My husband Damien and I own Cofield’s winery and we would like all the funds that we raise to go towards our community.

“We do the event in honour of my mother-in-law, Karen Cofield, who died from breast cancer in 2017.”

Following the ride, the ladies socialise at Cofield Winery.

“We sit down on the lawns at Cofield Winery and have a big, long lunch, we've got lots of raffles and options, and those sort of things!” Melanie said.
