Motorised bike impounded
Police impounded a motorised bike travelling on Bridge St on July 26.
The vehicle, which is classified as a motorbike, did not comply with roadworthy requirements and was unregistered.
The unlicenced 18-year-old rider was not wearing an approved motorcycle helmet and will be summons to appear at court.
Motorised bikes have the capacity to travel at higher speeds than lawful power-assisted bicycles, they take longer to stop and increase the risk of collision.
Highway Patrol Acting Sergeant Croxford said it was disappointing people continued to compromise their safety, and that of other road users, by using these types of vehicles on our roads.
Fence vandalised
Police are appealing for information in relation to a fence which was vandalised in Waller St between Friday, July 29, and Saturday, July 30. Anyone with information is urged to contact Benalla Police Station or Crime Stoppers.

Be cautious that an website or reviews do not always indicate a business is legitimate.
Scammers may pretend to be from well-known organisation asking for personal information to verify your identification.
If you are unsure who you are communicating with, offer to call them back, hand up and research the contact number for the organisation independently, rather than call them back on a direct number they have provided you.
