Police find vehicle almost submerged in water
Moama police have charged a person after a silver Hyundai was found almost submerged in an irrigation channel on Mathoura Line Rd.
Police allege the incident occurred between 10pm and 10.30pm on Thursday, February 9.
The driver has been charged with negligent driving, unlicensed driving and other offences.
It is the responsibility of the driver and their insurance company to remove the vehicle.
Three males from Rochester arrested
Campaspe Criminal Investigation Unit has arrested three males from Rochester after businesses in Rochester were broken into during the floods.
Police allege the businesses were targeted in November, at a time when the flooding was still prevalent and many people were displaced.
Detective Sergeant Jason Smith said detectives executed a search warrant at an address on Tuesday, February 14, which led to the arrest of the males.
He said information from the public assisted the investigation.
“We’ve charged and bailed a 19-year-old male from Rochester, a 15-year-old male has been summonsed to appear at children’s court and a 21-year-old male from Rochester was charged and appeared before the court today [February 14],” Det Sgt Smith said.
The outcome of the 21-year-old’s court appearance was not known at the time of going to print.
Hit-and-run investigation
Echuca police have asked witnesses of a hit-and-run in Echuca to come forward.
Police allege a silver Holden Commodore, with a partial registration 1UM, failed to give way and collided with a motorcycle about 12.30am on Saturday, January 14, at the intersection of Yakoa Natya Ave and Murray Valley Hwy, Echuca.
Police said the driver of the Commodore fled the scene and failed to render assistance.

Police appeal to public for information
Echuca police are appealing for information in relation to an alleged theft that occurred at a Nish St supermarket in Echuca on Monday, January 30.
Police are on the lookout for the person photographed, as they believe he may be able to assist with their investigation.
