Echuca man attacked in Bendigo
An Echuca man, 49, was left in hospital following an early morning attack at Bendigo Station on Wednesday, August 2.
Police said two men set upon the victim and inflicted multiple injuries during the attack about 4am.
The Echuca man sustained upper body injuries.
He was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital.
The attackers, who were wearing black clothing, fled the scene on foot.

Operation West Connect continuing
Police detected more than 150 offences during a major road safety operation across Victoria’s west and northern region.
Operation West Connect has seen highway patrol units swarm major arterial roads targeting high-risk driving behaviour.
It comes as 172 lives have been lost on the state’s roads so far this year, up from 139 at the same time last year.
Operation West Connect is an ongoing operation focused on detecting speeding, distracted and impaired drivers.
Sixty per cent of offences detected have been for speeding, with 52 motorists detected travelling between 10km/h and 25km/h above the speed limit and 21 detected travelling more than 25km/h above the speed limit.
The operation encompasses major arterial roads from Geelong, Bacchus Marsh, Bendigo and Echuca as far west as the South Australia border and from the Surf Coast, Warrnambool and Portland as far north as the NSW border.
Be road safe while driving in foggy conditions
Victoria Police is asking drivers to take care on roads during foggy mornings and evenings.
With low visibility, drivers are asked to decrease speed and turn on their headlights.
