Vehicle impounded after attempting to evade police

Police have impounded a vehicle that failed to stop after police attempted to intercept it on Sunday, July 7 at a service station on the Midland Hwy, Benalla. The vehicle was sighted again a short time later along Sydney Rd in Benalla. Police say they observed the vehicle travelling at 115km/h in the 60km/h zone and activated their lights and sirens; however, the vehicle failed to stop. The vehicle was impounded the following day, and the 31-year-old male driver has been interviewed in relation to driving offences.

Bracelet stolen from op shop

Police are appealing for information after a bracelet was stolen from an op shop in Benalla. A person described as a bald male wearing a fluoro jacket and carrying a green bag entered the store and asked to look at the gold-coloured bracelet before leaving the store without paying. Anyone with information regarding the theft or whereabouts of the bracelet is urged to contact Benalla Police Station or Crime Stoppers.

Vehicle and firewood taken

Detectives are appealing for information in relation to the theft or whereabouts of a 2013 white Nissan Navara ute, loaded with firewood, stolen at about 6:30am on Sunday, July 14, from a Benalla property. Electric fence equipment stolen

Police are investigating the theft of electric fence equipment stolen from a property in Taminick between the afternoon of Tuesday, July 9 and the evening of Wednesday, July 10. Police are appealing for information regarding the theft or whereabouts of a Nemtek Agri 2.0 20km electric fence energiser unit and N70-battery in a custom-built frame. Anyone with information that could assist or who saw anything suspicious in the area between the above times is urged to contact Benalla Police Station or Crime Stoppers.

Fridge pinched from camper trailer

Police are investigating the theft of a 60 litre Kings car fridge stolen from a camper trailer in Waller St, Benalla, between Friday, July 5 and Sunday, July 7.
