Police called to two incidents in Shepparton CBD

Investigation: Police and ambulance officers attended after a man was allegedly assaulted near a popular Shepparton bus stop on Wednesday, November 1.

A man was allegedly assaulted near a busy Shepparton bus stop on Wednesday, November 1.

Shepparton police Sergeant Cam McRae said a man was allegedly assaulted outside the toilet block near the bus exchange on Maude St about 12.30pm.

The man received minor injuries and was treated by paramedics.

Sgt McRae said the man and the alleged male attacker were known to each other.

At the same time, police saw a dispute between two groups outside the nearby Kmart in Vaughan St.

Sgt McRae said one woman had words with another woman, who then told a man about it, and he went and yelled at the first woman.

According to the police, no-one involved knew each other.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Police are investigating both incidents.
