Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash at Roslynmead on Wednesday evening.
Emergency services were called to Torrumbarry-Roslynmead Rd near Bickford Rd about 6.05pm after reports a car had crashed into a tree.
On arrival crews removed three people from the car and ambulance officers started treatment.
One of the passengers, a 72-year-old Bamawm man, died at the scene.
The driver, a 69-year-old Bamawm woman, and the other passenger, a 63-year-old Maiden Gully man, were taken to hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash is yet to be determined and investigations continue.
