ECHUCA police are appealing for information about a brazen burglary and car fire.
Detective Senior Constable Stuart Poulton of Campaspe Criminal Investigation Unit said thieves broke into a Hovell St, Echuca, property between 11.50am and 12.10pm on Monday, May 10, while the occupants were out.
A watch worth $150 was stolen.
‘‘It’s believed people were seen loitering in the area at the time,’’ Det Snr Constable Poulton said.
‘‘We are asking if anyone has any CCTV from the area or happened to see anything suspicious to please let us know.’’
Police and the CFA were called to a car fire on the Northern Hwy near Ballendella early Thursday, May 13.
A 2001 silver Holden Commodore, which had been parked on the highway near Prairie-Rochester Rd for a couple of days, was tipped over and set alight about 2.20am.
‘‘If anyone was driving past at the time, we would ask they give us a call,” Det Snr Constable Poulton said.
