Police are looking for a ute that was involved in a crash in Shepparton on Thursday, August 3.

Shepparton police Acting Sergeant Nathan Trimby said the white duel cab ute was driving south on Field St when it failed to give way at the intersection with Macintosh St about 10am.

The ute and a white hatchback travelling west on Macintosh St collided.

Act Sgt Trimby said it appeared the driver of the ute drove off after the crash without swapping any details with the other driver.

The ute was described as a white duel cab — possibly a Nissan Navara — and it did not have any number plates, Acting Sgt Trimby said.

He also said the ute’s bumper bar had come off in the crash, and the front end would be damaged.

Anyone who saw the crash or has seen a damaged ute that fits this description is asked to phone Shepparton Police Station on 5820 5777 or contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at crimestoppersvic.com.au
