On Sunday morning, eight participants from both of Finley’s schools were also confirmed.

Celebrations continued at the Finley Parish Hall.

CanAssist Finley branch members were delighted with the result of their recent street stall and would like to thank everyone and who contributed in any way.

All funds raised by this group are used exclusively for the care and assistance of those in the local communities undergoing their journey with cancer.

The wonderful volunteers work extremely hard in many ways, including cooking for and conducting at least three street stalls per year.

There are currently 27 clients on the local register with at least 10 clients being assisted at any one time.

First prize in the raffle was a whole lamb, won by Anne Freestone, half a lamb was up for grabs for both second and third, won by Jill Russell and John Hamson.

Organisers would like to thank the Jamieson family for donating the prizes.
