Queen’s Gardens illuminated for Vesak Festival

Shepparton’s Queen’s Gardens were illuminated by the local Buddhist community with lanterns and candles during the Vesak Festival on Saturday, May 28.

Prayers and meditations were led by Buddhist monks venerable Phra Satit Thitadhammo and Phra Ronrawee, as well as a lantern and candle lighting ceremony.

This year the Buddhist community of Shepparton conducted a blessing for emergency workers to show gratitude for their hard work during the pandemic.
