Railway reunion a great success

There were 94 attendees at the Seymour railway workers reunion at the Royal Hotel on Saturday, November 19.

Event organiser Peter Clarey said the day was a chance to catch up and reminisce with old friends and colleagues, with some even travelling from interstate.

“It was good to see them, a lot of people I haven’t seen for 30 years,” Mr Cleary said.

Despite the wet weather meaning the group remained inside, the day went off without a hitch.

“We sort of took over the whole pub, pretty much. We sort of had the bar and the back room.”

Many of the visitors stayed in town overnight.

Mr Clarey plans to run the event again in March 2024.
