Greater Shepparton City Council is offering an optional upsize for the recycling bin.
Residents can now request an upsize to a 360-litre recycling bin to allow those with large quantities of recyclable materials the extra bin space.
The bin comes with a one-off administrative fee of $37, and council has assured there will be no additional charge for the collection service for the 2023-2024 financial year.
The future collection service price for the bin will be reviewed in the next financial year as part of the annual budgeting process.
Council is urging residents that while the larger bin is convenient, they should take note of the size and weight of the bin and assess their ability to handle it when full.
The 360-litre bin measures 1100mm in height and 680mm in width.
To request an upsize, property owners, listed ratepayers, or managing agents must initiate the process through council’s online inquiry form or by contacting the council’s customer service on 5832 9700.
