Two Goulburn Valley libraries are set for modernisation after receiving funding from the Victorian Government.
The Euroa and Numurkah libraries will be transformed into contemporary spaces with 24-hour access for the community, to improve accessibility and usability.
The libraries will receive a combined $202,290 from the latest round of the Victorian Government’s Living Libraries Infrastructure Program.
“The Numurkah and Euroa Libraries are a much-loved part of our community,” Member for Northern Victoria Mark Gepp said.
“Through this project even more local people will be able to access the great services these libraries provide and they can continue to serve the needs of the community for many years to come.”
The program enables councils to deliver new or renewed library infrastructure to strengthen communities and encourage life-long learning.
Since 2015 more than $42.6 million has been invested into 109 Living Libraries projects by the Victorian Government.
