Nominations have officially opened for those wishing to put their hand up as a candidate in next month’s Greater Shepparton City Council election.
From Monday, September 9, to Tuesday, September 17 at noon, residents can nominate as a candidate in any of the nine wards which this region’s council has been split into.
The News has been profiling prospective candidates in the lead-up to the election.

The ballot draw will take place on Wednesday, September 18, with the ballot pack mail out beginning on Monday, October 7.
Voting closes at 6pm on Friday, October 25 - with all postal votes required to be in by Friday, November 1.
All election results will be declared by Friday, November 15.
