Return to sender: Local man receives threatening postcards from mystery sender

Freedom of speech: Mick believes the postcards may be a response to the signs he has on his fence. Until the arrival of the postcards, Mick said the only feedback he had received on the signs had been positive.

Local man Mick Crozier is a regular writer of ‘letters to the editor’ here at the Telegraph but recently Mick has been receiving some mail of his own.

Mick has been receiving postcards from a mystery sender, with content that is not so friendly.

So far, he has received four postcards. The most recent, on Wednesday, June 28, read: “Come in peace or go in pieces. Be told.”

‘Be told’: The handwriting on the postcards is distinctive.

Unfazed by the sender’s threats, Mick would only like the chance to talk to the disgruntled person.

“I just rip them up and throw them in the bin, it’s just some nut case,” Mick said.

“It doesn’t bother me, it’s just someone saying something. But if you’re going to send something, put your name on it or your phone number so I can ring you.

“I’d just like to find out what their problem is.”

Unperturbed: Mick usually rips up the postcards and throws them in the bin.

Mick is a well known figure around Seymour. For years, he had a series of provocative signs on his fence voicing his beliefs on matters of religion, politics, social welfare and anything in between.

Mick has his suspicions about the identity of the sender, and believes the postcards are a response to the signs he keeps on his fence.

When asked if he would take down the signs, Mick’s resolve was clear.

“Absolutely not, not until a time that you can’t do it,” he said.

“If you don’t like the signs, that’s your problem not mine.”
