The Riverine Herald’s resident sports journalists Matthew Kappos and Oliver Shedden visited Lifeblood’s mobile donor van on its recent journey to Echuca.

After an 11-year hiatus, Matt gave blood for the second time, while it was Ollie’s first donation experience.

The van visited town for three weeks, with Friday, February 7, being the last day to drop in before it heads off around 11am.

Bookings were filled across the three-week stay, a testament to the generosity of the residents in and around Echuca-Moama.

Lifeblood will be calling back in from Tuesday, May 6 to Friday, May 23.

Donors can give blood every 12 weeks, meaning the next visit will be just in time to donate again, Riv journos included.
