Water coming downstream from Seven Creeks in Euroa will see possible moderate flooding in Kialla West.

As of 4.11pm on Friday June 9, a moderate flood warning was issued for Seven Creeks in Kialla West for Saturday morning.

The water levels sat at 4.19m as of 4.12pm on Friday and it is expected that it will exceed the moderate flood level of 5.00m early Saturday morning and could peak near 5.30m late morning.

No significant rainfall has been forecast for the remainder of Friday or the weekend in Kialla West.

In Seven Creeks in Euroa, the moderate flood peak has passed and minor flooding is easing.

A spokesperson from SES has provided an update on the flooding situation in Euroa and said everything was under control.

They said Seven Creeks won’t rise much due to calmer weather and water levels should go down from watch and act to advice and duty officers around the area are monitoring it closely.

Any water present in the street overnight on Thursday to Friday morning was manageable as it was mainly built up water in pot holes and no water entered any premises.

A minor flood warning was also issued for the Broken River at Orrvale on Friday at 10:32am.

This minor flood peak is likely to come on Saturday morning.

Rainfalls of up to 21mm have been recorded across the Broken River catchment as of 24 hours to 9am on Friday.

Showers are forecast for the remainder of Friday before easing over the weekend.

As of 4.01pm on Friday, the river levels for the Broken River at Orrvale sat 4.49m but is likely to peak at the minor flood level of 6.80m on Saturday morning.
