Greater Shepparton City Council has announced road closures this weekend ahead of the 30th instalment of the Spring Car Nationals, or Springnats, at the Shepparton Showgrounds.
The south side of the Fryers St extension to the west of the train line, between Thompson St and Archer St, will be closed to traffic from 10am Friday, November 24, until 8pm Sunday, November 26.
No parking will be allowed on either side of the Fryers St extension.
There will be no turning into Fryers St extension from Archer St from either direction from 10am Friday, November 24, until 8pm Sunday, November 26.
Both lanes of Thompson St will be closed to traffic from 10am Friday, November 24, until 8pm Sunday, November 26.
The street parade on Saturday, November 25, will depart the Shepparton Showgrounds at 3.15pm.
Full road closures will be in effect on the route along Fryers St to Corio St, Corio St from Fryers St to Edwards St, and Edwards St to Maude St, continuing into Fryers St, for about an hour.
Vehicles will hold a static display in Fryers St and Maude St departing Fryers St at 4.15pm.
