Commencing Monday, November 27, Greater Shepparton City Council has announced a team of contractors will undertake works at the Old Dookie Rd and Andrew Fairley Ave intersection, building on the major upgrade completed earlier this year.

The minor rectification works will see the elevation of four concrete lids to align with the road surface.

The works are expected to be completed in three to five days.

Throughout the operation, the intersection will remain open, but stringent traffic control measures will be enforced to ensure the safety of both road workers and motorists.

Speed reductions will be implemented, and although no road closures are scheduled, two specific right turns will be restricted:

  • Right turns into SPC from Andrew Fairley Ave.
  • Right turns into Andrew Fairley Ave from Old Dookie Rd.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes following the signed detours corresponding to these restrictions.

Despite the specified proper turn limitations, all roads will remain open and accessible from alternate directions.

Access to local businesses, residences and SPC carparks will be maintained throughout the rectification works.
