The Lockington Lions Club is inviting rock ’n’ rollers to Lockington for a night on the dance floor.

After huge success last year with its rock and roll dance, the club hope to repeat the same success this year.

With 110 tickets already sold, the event is looking to be even bigger than last year’s.

Around 130 people, both locals and non locals, attended the first dance last year with a few travelling from as far as Ballarat, Bacchus Marsh and Bendigo.

Musician Jefferson Smith and Route 66 will also make a return this year to keep the rock and roll tunes flowing on the night.

All proceeds from the event will go back into local groups such as the Bush Nursing Centre and Lockington Consolidated School.

Last year the event and the raffle that was run in conjunction, raised $3000 for the local community.

Those wishing to attend can gather 10 friends or family members to book a table of ten for $30 a head or they can pay $30 at the door on the night.

It will be a family friendly function so everyone, regardless of age, is welcome to attend.

The event will be held at the Lockington Community Centre on Shakespeare Court with doors to open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.

There will be nibbles served on the night and guests can BYO.

If anyone would like to book a table, they can contact Marg on 0427 795 576 or John on 0417 999 144.
