The Dookie, Devenish and District Good Friday Appeal has once again proven to be a resounding success, raising over $120,000 for the Royal Children’s Hospital after it finished on Friday, April 7, with the show and shine event in Dookie.

This brings the total amount raised by the appeal to more than $510,000 in just seven years.

In recognition of the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in the DDDGFA and the countless volunteers who supported the appeal, Anna Wilson and Simone Dalla Riva from the RCH will be visiting the Gladstone Hotel in Dookie on Wednesday, August 16, from 5pm to 7pm.

During their visit, they will chat with locals and sit down for a meal to show their appreciation for the community’s fantastic fundraising efforts.

DDDGFA president Paul Durden expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to this year’s appeal.

“We invite everyone to come along, say hi and even jump in and have a photo with the 2023 donation heart,” Mr Durden said.

“We hope to see as many as we can from the community.”
