An opportunity exists for local creatives to showcase their artwork in an open-call group exhibition at the Shepparton Art Museum.
Applications are now open for two exhibitions — SAM Fresh: GV Top Art and Design 2022 and SAM Open 2023.
SAM Fresh, the VCE arts show, is open to regional students who completed Unit 4 in Arts, Studio Arts or Visual Communications in 2022 and wish to display their final folio works.
Community members aged 16 years and over can submit their work to SAM Open 2023, responding to the theme of ‘Home’.
SAM community curator Caroline Esbenshade is excited for both programs to celebrate and promote the diversity of creativity in the region.
“It offers creatives of all stages an opportunity to exhibit their work in a nationally significant regional gallery and an opportunity for us to shine a spotlight on our community,” she said.
Folio submissions for SAM Fresh: GV Top Art and Design 2022 will close on December 12.
SAM Fresh will be on display at SAM from February 18 to April 23, 2023.
Applications for SAM Open 2023 will close on February 6, 2023.
SAM Open will be on display at SAM from April 29 to July 16, 2023.
