Shepparton Search and Rescue and Tatura SES has set up a sandbag distribution service for people at risk of flooding.

Residents will be able to take 25 sandbags per household to help protect against predicted moderate to major flooding.

The centre has been set up at Kialla Park Rec Reserve and will be open from 10am to 2pm and 5pm to 7pm.

Meanwhile McFarlane Rd in Mooroopna has been closed from the end of the bitumen to the state forest.

Bridge Rd in Toolamba, Watt Rd in Shepparton-Mooroopna and Kialla’s Raferty Rd have all been closed.

Residents in Rochester have been warned to brace for major flooding of the Campaspe River over coming days.

More information is available on the Victoria SES website and the Greater Shepparton City Council Facebook page.
