The event began in the morning, with students participating in warm-ups and workshops, facilitated by the Australian School of Performing Arts Education.

This year, secondary students were inspired by Wicked, producing a performance based on the musical.

Following hours of rehearsals, the students delivered their showcase at 1pm, with each school presenting a number, as well as combined performances.

“The arts is an integral aspect of Sandhurst schools,” Catholic Education Sandhurst education officer for the arts Claire Spinelli said.

“The partnership between CES Ltd schools and the Australian School of the Performing Arts is well established and provides the opportunity to expose and engage students in the choral arts.

“Since its inception in 2009, the program has expanded to incorporate Sandhurst Arts on Show.”

Sandhurst Arts on Show festivals were also enjoyed by students in Shepparton, Cobram, Wodonga, Wangaratta and Bendigo.
