He’s making a list and checking it twice.

Yes, the big red man, aka Santa, is ready to do his annual dash around the world this Christmas.

Luckily, Santa had enough time to drop into the Cobram Lions Twilight Christmas Market, where the Courier managed to get an exclusive interview.

According to Santa, the kids of Cobram are after a mixture of traditional and hi-tech gifts, from dolls and wooden horses to iPads and other fancy electronics.

Though Santa is hard-working, he obviously can’t do it all alone.

Instead, he has an army of hard-working elves by his side.

“They’re having a really busy time. Now and then, they’ll have a bit of a rest. Otherwise, they’re working very hard,” Santa said.

It is traditional for Santa to be left with some cookies and milk. But like everything, times have changed, and Santa asked for something different this year.

“Cookies and raspberry cordial,” he said.

Asked what was the hardest thing about delivering all the presents, Santa said it was the time zones and beating the sun.

As for a message to the people of Cobram, Santa had this to say:

“Have a very safe and enjoyable Christmas and New Year,” he said.
