Kyabram Fauna Park: Dinos at the Zoo

Get up close to giant dinosaurs in a setting like no other at Kyabram Fauna Park, where 15 prehistoric beasts have just taken residence. You can experience Kyabram’s new dinosaur population roaming in a newly created area of the parkland, with the opportunity to make your own discoveries in the fossil dig sandpit. There’s free zoo entry for children under 16 on weekends, school holidays and public holidays, so what better time to check it out?

PLAY grp

The PLAY grp is running its school holiday open-age play sessions for children aged six months to seven years old. These sessions will allow children to explore various sensory and messy activities and engage in physical activities in indoor and outdoor areas. It will also be a good chance to meet with other parents and plan playdates.

Snowy and the Seven Cool Dudes

Tape resist painting

Animals Around Me

Featuring the Yorta Yorta language, Tammy-Lee Atkinson’s children’s book celebrates the animals we see every day. The book has been created with the help of Indigenous youth in Shepparton, and is being launched at the Shepparton Festival with an artwork exhibition showcasing the illustrations.

Tomorrow is a Brand-New Day

Tomorrow is a Brand-New Day is a message of hope and an uplifting and fun tribute to learning and growing. Set to the sounds of woodwind and percussion instruments, this new work by composer Alan John brings Davina Bell and Allison Colpoy’s charming picture book to life. This short, interactive session is a perfect first musical experience for young people aged five to eight; the audience is invited to participate in the storytelling and learn about all the different instruments being played.
