People across the region are waiting in suspense in the lead-up to the Secret Garden Gigs tour starting this weekend.

The team behind the region’s best kept secret is taking the show on the road to kickstart the 2023 season, and organiser Jamie Lea said in true Secret Garden Gigs spirit, there would be no addresses or announced headliners until the morning of the show.

While lips remain sealed on specific details, three locations have been revealed.

First, a sold-out show on Saturday in a beautiful backyard in the Shepparton CBD.

Next, a wide open space in Numurkah on Saturday, March 4.

And finally, back to Shepparton on Saturday, April 29 for a special gig that doubles as a fundraiser for Guthrie St Primary School.

Ms Lea said attendees could expect a magical time.

“We travel round the countryside, finding the most sublime backyards and spreading the seeds of live music across the land,” she said.

Secret Garden Gigs started eight years ago, and since then Ms Lea said there had been nearly 70 shows and 200 performers.

“We grow the opportunities for performers to connect to an engaged audience and programme stages with the best home-grown talent in regional Victoria,” she said.
