Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is in full swing, and Hotel Kyabram is joining the effort to raise funds for the vital Cancer Council.
Tea, coffee, games, and delicious all-you-can-eat homemade cakes are on offer on at Hotel Kyabram, where generosity is the main course for their Biggest Morning Tea event.
For $10 a ticket, tea-lovers can visit the Allan St restaurant on Thursday, May 30 at 10.30am for a morning that will fill stomachs and donation pots with much-needed funds.
Hotel Kyabram’s Mandi Goddard is encouraging attendees to bring any loose change or cash they have to support the cause.
“We’re not asking people for much - because we’re all struggling at the moment – but even a little bit can go a long way to help the cause,” Mrs Goddard said.
“It’s a ridiculous amount of people, that get cancer, so just putting the support behind the people even it's just a little bit and doing our part in helping them can go a long way,” she said.
Nearly 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer before they turn 85, and the Cancer Council aims to change this narrative.
The Biggest Morning Tea has been raising money for the Cancer Council for the past 30 years, and last year's efforts brought in $14.6 million.
To support the Cancer Council, visit the Kyabram Hotel on Thursday, May 30 at 10.30am for their take on Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
Other community groups can join the fun by hosting a morning tea and raising money for the Cancer Council in May and June.
