SES respond to emergency calls from Benalla after storm downs trees

VICSES received a number of calls from Benalla following a storm which swept across the north-east on February 7.

“Since 2pm, there have been more than two dozen calls across the state, the majority from the Rutherglen area,” An SES spokesperson said on February 7.

“Some other calls have come from Benalla, Wangaratta, and Wodonga.

“Most calls were for trees down or building damage.”

Some areas in and around Benalla were without power for up to 24 hours following the storm.
