The finest sheep studs from around the region were on show at the Edward River Oval on Friday, for the 2022 Elders Riverina Sheep Expo.

The rain held off for the entire day, with the crowd enjoying the beautiful winter sun while browsing the sheep with coffee in hand and watching the events.

There was blade shearing, shearing demonstrations for school kids, northern clip of the year and sheep judging all on offer.

Organiser Errol Horneman said the day was a great success.

“We had bus loads of school kids turn up throughout the day,” he said.

“They were so interested and asked some really intelligent questions. It is great to see the young ones coming through showing so much interest, and it’s so important for the industry.”
