The newly formed Shepparton Syrian Association is set to host a fundraiser for those impacted by the Syrian earthquakes in February.

The event has been organised by members of the community who have families directly affected by the earthquake.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 17 between 3pm and 5pm and promises an afternoon of music and song, a traditional Syrian afternoon tea and sweet treats.

St Paul’s African House, on Poplar Ave, Shepparton, will host the event.

The afternoon has been put together by Shepparton Syrian Association in partnership with Picnic 4 Peace, Primary Care Connect and St George’s Rd Primary School and SELC Community Hub.

Anyone who cannot attend the event but would like to support the fundraiser can head to the Shepparton Syrian Association Facebook page to find donation details at facebook.com/profile.php?id=100093063287819
