End of the road: Failure by motorists to abide by road rules and regulations will result in fines.

As the festive season diminishes and school holidays cease, complimentary parking in Shepparton also comes to an end.

Starting December 1, 2023, Greater Shepparton City Council provided free on-street parking in council-owned spaces during December and January.

On Wednesday, January 31, complimentary parking will end and paid on-street parking will resume on Thursday, February 1.

Failure to pay for parking or exceeding the displayed time limit will result in fines.

Other changes this week:

Motorists are reminded that school speed zones will be back in operation this week as students return to school after the summer holidays.

The school speed zones will be in effect on weekdays from Tuesday, January 30, till the end of term one on Thursday, March 28.

The timings for these 40km/hr zones are from 8am to 9.30am and from 2.30pm to 4pm.

During drop-off and pick-up times, motorists can expect more traffic from pedestrians, bicyclists, and school buses around schools and bus stops.
