The Echuca Moama Show is returning to the showgrounds for another year.

This weekend, November 9 and 10, the Echuca Moama Show will bring plenty of fun to town for the 148th edition of the event.

There will be a range of activities, displays and rides for visitors of all ages to enjoy on both days, and a wide range of agricultural exhibits.

Echuca-Moama Agricultural and Pastoral Society president Allan Mathers is confident there is something for everyone.

“We will have some good things on display,” he said.

“We get some dairy cattle there, and there are the competitions ... and things to get the children participating.

“We are very community-minded.”

He also believes this year’s edition has the most carnival rides in a long time, with dodgem cars and the cha-cha ready to go.

Mr Mathers and the team are ready to welcome thousands to the showgrounds, which they have been busy setting up over the past few days.

“Everything is coming along very well,” he said.

“Our small but very committed committee is doing a great job.

“We’ll have the best fireworks you’ll see.”

The fireworks display will kick off as soon as it gets dark, with funding for the pyrotechnic spectacular provided by the Showmen’s Guild.

Along with this funding, the committee has been busy at the Bunnings and harness club meeting barbecues to raise $14,000 for free entertainment at the show.

“When mum and dad come in with the children, they can have pony rides, the petting zoo, hair braiding, face-painting, portraits,” Mr Mathers said.

Horse events will cover both days, while Saturday will see the dairy cattle and dairy goat judging, with beef cattle and poultry set for Sunday.

Saturday will also feature the doughnut eating competition, craft activities and ute competition.

The vintage car and hot rod show and shine will be on Sunday, along with the show stars competitions, show-jumping and pet show

A range of cooking, handcrafts, photography, horticulture, arts and sewing and needlecraft judging will call the pavilion home for the weekend.

Cookie decorating, face-painting, reptile display, pony rides, trade exhibits, animal nursery and vintage cars will provide entertainment to the crowds.
