The sign at Greater Shepparton City Council’s Isabel Pearce Kindergarten has been upgraded by an appreciative parent.

Vanessa Lloyd-Singh wanted to show her gratitude to the kindergarten by providing the sign makeover.

“My daughter attends three-year-old kinder and suffers from separation anxiety,” Ms Lloyd-Singh said.

“The educators have been really supportive of my daughter’s needs especially during COVID, as I was able to attend the facility and help settle my daughter.”

Ms Lloyd-Singh wanted to show her appreciation to the kindergarten for the support staff had shown by organising to have the Isabel Pearce sign upgraded and sought the services of local business Signs and Lines.

Smiling faces: Vanessa Lloyd-Singh organised to have the Isabel Pearce sign upgraded by local business Signs and Lines.

Ms Lloyd-Singh said she wanted the sign to reflect the service that Isabel Pearce Kindergarten provided, with something that families, children and educators could be proud to see.

Isabel Pearce Kindergarten service leader Linda Laws said it was a beautiful and generous gift of appreciation.

“Our educators and children love the new sign and we can reflect on the kindness of others,” she said.

“This sign can remind us every day of the great work that our team do with all the children and families to ensure that the children are happy and feel part of our kinder family, whilst at the service and for many years into the future.”

City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Kim O’Keeffe said the sign demonstrated how community members continued to support each other.

“The beautiful sign reflects the fun and supportive nature of Isabel Pearce Kindergarten, adding some more cheer to the front entrance,” she said.

“Vanessa has done such a beautiful job in having this organised in collaboration with local business Signs and Lines.”

Signs and Lines provided its expertise free of charge in designing and making the new sign, which was installed on Wednesday, February 10.
