The 2024 Swanpool Motor Festival will be the biggest yet as it returns to the Albert Heaney Oval on Sunday, March 10.

On top of being a car lover’s dream, the festival offers a great day out for the whole family.

The usual array of market stalls will offer local produce and great bargains.

The swap meet will also return along with various food and drink vendors, with plenty of ice creams for sale on what has traditionally been a warm weekend.

And, as always, the vehicles on display are not just cars.

You will also see bikes, trucks, boats and anything with an engine.

One of the festival’s highlights is the live music provided by local band ‘Rattler’, who entertain the crowd, allowing attendees to enjoy a relaxed day looking at the display vehicles.

Organising committee member Ross Coles said the prize pool is in the thousands of dollars, including a $500 cash award, and the way winners are chosen is unique to the Swanpool Motor Festival.

“There is no judging of vehicles but the prizes donated, by mainly local businesses, are drawn out of a hat and awarded to the owners,” Mr Coles said.

“Every vehicle, car, motorcycle, truck, tractor or boat has the same chance to win a prize.”

The Albert Heaney Oval Committee, a non-profit organisation, run the festival to raise funds to maintain the oval and its facilities.

Entry is $10, which covers two adults. Children under 16 are free.
