A 41-year-old male skipper is set to appear at Moama Local Court after allegedly returning a blood alcohol reading of 0.054 while operating a vessel on New Year’s Day.
Inspector Paul Huggett of the Murray River Police District said police were conducting patrols on the Murray River when the male was stopped and breath tested about 1.55pm on January 1.
“The male was provided a court attendance notice for operating a vessel with a low range PCA, under the Marine Safety Act,” Insp Huggett said.
The male will appear at Moama Local Court on March 14.
