The Friends of BPACC are preparing to bring the fourth live theatre performance to the BPACC Stage following the success of recent shows.

The next one, What’s New Pussycat?, will be presented on June 8 at 11am.

It follows hot on the heels of Songs for Bernadette, which was performed on April 29.

A Friends of BPACC spokesperson said an appreciative audience enjoyed the performance of Bernadette Robinson as she performed songs by Edith Piaf, Tammy Faye, Shirley Bassey, Julie Andrews and many more.

“She displayed her amazing vocal talent, which has seen her perform all over the world,” the spokesperson said.

What’s New Pussycat? is a joyous, foot-stamping, hand-clapping celebration of the Swinging 60s performed by Australia’s favourite cabaret duo, Melissa and Mark Langdon.

“(It features) vocal pyrotechnics, breathtaking harmonies (and) off-the-wall humour.

“(As well as) the hits of Tom Jones, Burt Bacharach, Petula Clark, Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Carole King and The Fab Four.

“Melissa and Mark have been one of Australia’s most popular cabaret acts for more than 15 years, and in this performance are joined by a three-piece band.”

On June 18 from 7.30pm the Friends of BPACC present David Hobson in Concert.

David is well known through the world of opera, musical theatre and television.

His performance will take the audience on a musical journey featuring a diverse range of styles includes classical, Celtic and pop songs.

He will be joined on stage by 2019 Herald Sun Aria winner Georgia Wilkinson.

Tickets for What’s new Pussycat are $20. Tickets for David Hobson in Concert are $40. To book call the BPACC Box Office on 57625515 or book online via bpacc.com.au/theatre.
