Santa's busy checking his list not once, but twice, and this year he's got a heart-warming surprise for children who send in their Christmas wish-lists.

Families in Kyabram have a magical opportunity this year - children who bring their letters to Santa to the local Australia Post office will receive a personal response from Father Christmas himself.

From November 15, the Kyabram Post Office will be accepting letters to Santa in person and in exchange, kids will receive a letter from Santa Claus straight away.

As a delightful Aussie twist, each child will also receive a charming Pip the Koala Christmas ornament - a perfect keepsake for families to cherish as they decorate their tree together.

Josh Bannister, Australia Post’s executive general manager for retail, brand and marketing said he cannot wait to see the look on children’s faces when they receive a letter back from Santa.

“Santa has asked for our help this year, and we’re thrilled to be part of the magic,” he said.

“We hope every child enjoys writing their letters as much as we enjoy helping Santa make their wishes come true.”

Families have until Christmas Eve to be part of this enchanting experience, with every child receiving a free, personalised response from Santa and a special gift.
